Dear Mariel: Ran across your non-blog while randomly searching, just reading things, and looked at about 50 of the pictures you took. And I can't help being curious... you're a pretty young woman who's taken on this project and--by your count--taken about 350 daily pictures of yourself over the year. Looking at the pictures, it does not seem to be a vanity project, a "my god I'm so lovely I have to share it with the world" kind of thing (as some bloggers do), so... did you have a purpose in mind when you started? Did it change as you went along? And what did you learn from it? Many thanks, and have a Great New Year. TOD
When I started this, I didn't really know what it would be, if anything. It turned into a curiosity about how I'll change as time passes--hair growing, face changing, etc. I don't think I can really judge that by just one year, so I've decided to continue with it. It's also been interesting to see how different I can look on a day-to-day basis. Eventually I'll probably compile the photos into a sort of time-lapse video and see what happens.
Well, dear visitor and/or reader, this is where I force upon you the fruits of my 2008 project--taking a picture of myself, every day, for (at least) an entire year. That's really all. I have another blog if you really want to read about my life. Go to the first post (from 2004) if you want that.
